- Mix the freshly squeezed, sieved orange juice with the preserving sugar in a saucepan the evening before, cover and let rest.
- The next day add the citric acid and bring to the boil while stirring. Let it simmer for 10 minutes. Always stir.
- After the cooking time, fill into clean bottles (place on a wet cloth to prevent the bottles from bursting), close and allow to cool.
- Bottles with twist-off lids are best. Please boil these beforehand.
- The syrup tastes best in mineral water.
- Well suited for the soda machine.
- The syrup should rest for 2-3 weeks, then the full aroma will develop.
