Instructions

  1. For the balls, knead all the ingredients except the oil and the dates. Form small balls and fry them all over in the oil for about 5 minutes. Let cool on kitchen paper.
  2. Put each ball with 1/4 date on a wooden skewer.
  3. For the dip:
  4. Mix the crushed garlic cloves with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Serve the dip with the meatballs.
  6. The recipe makes about 50 balls.
  7. You can also use wedges of fresh figs to garnish.
