Mash the camembert and cream cheese with a fork, mix well with the soft butter, onion, spices and salt and season well. A small shot of beer does not damage the taste or consistency.
The result should be a soft mush, the camembert is used whole with rind.
(Arrange everything on a deep plate and garnish with horseradish slices, parsley and wafer-thin onion rings.)
Fresh pretzels or farmhouse bread are served with it.
