Roll up the puff pastry and cut into 6 squares. Line the molds with a square of puff pastry and press down folds if necessary. then beat an egg into each of the puff pastry molds. Season with salt, pepper and paprika powder as required and possibly also add herbs. If you want, you can also sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.
I use a traditional Pfitzauf shape for this recipe. If you don`t have one, you can use a mold for large (!) Muffins or ovenproof cups or ceramic molds.
If you prefer a non-vegetarian variant, line the puff pastry molds with bacon and then place the egg in it,
A green salad goes well with it for a light dinner (for 2 people). Of course, the oven eggs can also serve as a side dish (for 6 people) for a hearty breakfast.
