Here is a fantastic oyster shooter recipe from a casual bar on Siesta Key.
First look for 4 large (!) Shooter glasses, a normal shot glass is definitely too small. Even so, the shooter is usually drunk in one jolt, which requires some practice.
Break open the oysters (caution: make sure that no pieces of shell fall into the lower half!), Cut the sphincter muscle. Put the oyster and the seawater into a glass. Squeeze 1/4 lime per glass and pour 2 cl vodka on top. Carefully pour 2 cl Sangrita picante (this is this ready-seasoned tomato juice - you can do it more normally, but then add a little salt) on top of each glass. Usually you can layer it a bit then it looks a little nicer. Add a dash each of Tabasco and Worcester. Grind with black pepper
I attach half a slice of lime or a quarter of a lime as decoration.
It`s also a great idea as an entree to a Mexican meal, but we also like it just like that.
