Instructions

  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  3. In a second bowl, stir the egg yolks with the melted butter with a whisk. Then add the milk and stir until everything is well mixed. Now the flour mixture is added and everything is mixed together.
  4. Beat the egg whites into firm snow and fold in with a mixing spoon.
  5. All of this does not have to be mixed up exactly because you can still see some of the egg whites. Finally, pull the chocolate chips underneath.
  6. Melt some butter in a hot pan and pour the batter into the pan with a small ladle (approx. 50-75 ml per pancake). It is best to bake two at the same time for about 2 - 3 minutes per side or until small bubbles form on the top. Then the pancake is ready to be turned and is then fully baked on this side.
  7. Continue like this, brushing the pan with butter again and again until the batter is used up.
  8. Depending on the size, it makes 8-10 pancakes, which are best served very hot.
  9. Tip:
  10. Cinnamon cream, which is made from 200g whipped cream, 50g sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, tastes very good with it. Or you can use maple syrup or something you like.
