Peel the potatoes, cut into thin slices and place in a bowl with water. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Place the potato slices on a kitchen towel and cover with a second one.
Heat the pan with clarified butter. Add the potato slices and fry uncovered over medium heat. When the potatoes have turned color, add the onion and spices. Continue frying with the lid on until the potatoes are golden brown. Attention! Don`t turn too often.
When the Panneschieve are done, serve with a flönz or fried egg and serve.
