Instructions

  1. Wash and core the peppers and cut into small squares. Peel the onion and cut into similar sized pieces.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan, do not let it get too hot. Add the onion and let it sear a little, add the diced paprika a little later. Add vinegar and sugar. Put the lid on the pot and let it stew for 15 minutes. In between check whether too much liquid has boiled away, if necessary add water.
  3. Just before the end of the cooking time, add the chopped or pressed garlic and season with salt and pepper or vegetable stock. If you like, you can also add a little tomato paste, but then you need a little more liquid.
