Warm up the milk. Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the middle. Crumble in the yeast and add sugar and a little water. Mix everything carefully with a fork and let stand for about 10 minutes.
Then add salt, milk, cream cheese and the rest of the water. Process the ingredients into a dough with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until it has increased its volume significantly.
Dust the dough lightly with flour, take it out of the bowl, knead again well with your hands on a lightly floured work surface and shape into a roll. Divide the rolling pin into 10 equal portions and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper with a little space between them to form a wreath.
Cover and let rise again in a warm place until the dough pieces have enlarged significantly. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 °.
Brush the rolls with milk, put them in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Tip: knead a finely diced red pepper under the dough.
