Instructions

  1. Skin the meat sausage and cut into cubes, peel the onion, halve and core the bell pepper and remove the white dividers. Cut the onion into fine cubes and the paprika into slightly larger cubes.
  2. Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water according to the instructions.
  3. Brown the meat sausage cubes in oil, add the onion and paprika cubes and let them take some color.
  4. Mix the cooked and drained pasta with the meat sausage, onion and pepper cubes in a baking dish.
  5. Heat the margarine, stir in the flour, carefully add the milk and broth, always stirring well with a whisk so that there are no lumps.
  6. If the sauce is too thick, use a little more milk or broth. Now stir in the processed cheese and let it dissolve. Season with salt and pepper and pour the sauce over the prepared ingredients in the baking dish. Bake the casserole for about 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
