Sauté the onion in hot butter for 3 minutes until golden, add the garlic and simmer for another minute. Now pour in the broth and add the pumpkin pieces, bring to the boil and cook the pumpkin until soft over medium heat. Season to taste with pepper and nutmeg, stir in the cream, warm it up slightly, puree with a stick.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta, distribute it on the plates, sprinkle the sauce over it and sprinkle with pine nuts, chives and possibly parmesan.
