Dice the onion and finely chop or press the garlic.
Sauté in plenty of olive oil in a saucepan on the highest setting for about 5 minutes. Roughly dice the zucchini, add and cook for another 5 minutes. Deglaze with the strained or chunky tomatoes. Turn the heat down to low. Season with the remaining ingredients and simmer gently for about 15 minutes.
In the meantime, cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package (approx. 80 - 120 g per person, depending on how hungry you are).
Just before serving, season to taste again and add seasoning if necessary. Garnish with fresh basil.
