Knead the minced meat well with the egg, tomato paste and finely chopped onion. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic, preferably a bit spicy (you can also add chilli).
Oil a loaf pan and line it with the ham. Pour in the minced meat mixture and cover with ham. The minced meat should be completely coated with ham! Finally, put a couple of tomato slices on top - this prevents drying out during baking and provides some gravy that you can later pour off and use as a sauce base.
