Instructions

  1. Mix the oatmeal, flour and baking powder.
  2. Mix the butter with the peanut butter, white and brown sugar until creamy. Then add the egg and vanilla extract and stir in well until everything is light and airy. Add the flour mixture and mix everything together well. Shape the dough into a ball and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. For each bear you now need 1 slightly larger ball of about 18g for the body, 1 ball of about 10g for the head. Now place these balls together on the prepared baking sheet. Now place a very small ball in the middle of the head as a nose. Then form 6 more balls of the same size, 2 for the ears and two each for arms and legs. Lay everything down so that the dough touches each other.
  5. I now take the round end of a toothpick and use it to make two small holes in the head for the eyes and one in the middle of the stomach as a navel.
  6. Now I take a raisin and tear off very small pieces, shape them a little round and put them into the small holes with the pointed end of the toothpick. Press them lightly on / in with your finger so that they don`t protrude too much.
  7. I always weigh the balls so they become more even and then process one bear after the other.
  8. Finally, I do the eyes and navel for everyone.
  9. When they are all done, they are put in the oven and baked for 9-11 minutes.
  10. You have to look, I find them most beautiful when the nose, ears, arms and legs are a light brown color.
  11. Take out and let cool down a little on the baking sheet (about 1 min.) Then place on a wire rack with a spatula and let cool down completely.
  12. Put in an airtight box for storage, it will be about 13-14 pieces with my measurements.
