Peel and core the pears and cut into small pieces.
Put the fruit in a saucepan and add a small sip of the water, enough for the fruit to simmer, not all of it! Simmer the pears over a medium heat for approx. 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Then add the sugar and cinnamon and pour in all the water (you may need less than the 150 ml, as thick as you want it to be.). Coarsely puree the mixture with a blender.
Put the compote in a jam jar.
The compote tastes good with potato noodles, but is also a pleasure for dessert.
