Instructions

  1. Peel the pears, cut in half and remove the core - immediately drizzle with lemon juice.
  2. Bring red wine, cinnamon and sugar to a simmer in a saucepan. Cook the pear halves in it for 5 - 10 minutes until they are soft, remove them and let them cool. Let the red wine simmer simmer and reduce until a syrupy sauce is formed.
  3. Serve the vanilla ice cream, add the pear halves and the sauce over the pears and ice cream, garnish with cream and mint if necessary.
