Cut the onion into fine cubes. Finely chop the garlic. Finely chop the herbs.
Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Lightly brown the onion and garlic in it. Then add the herbs and sauté for a short time on a very low heat, then add the tomatoes that have been stirred in the blender. Salt and pepper and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes. Then add the cream while stirring and continue to stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add the cooked penne and heat again over medium heat. Grate the parmesan cheese on top and serve.
