Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients, gradually add the soy milk and sunflower oil and work into a lump-free dough. This works well with the mixer with a paddle, as well as with a hand blender. Then stir in the mineral water (do not mix) and let the dough rest for about an hour. Stir again briefly and then the waffles can be baked!
  2. Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it with coconut oil. With this recipe, very little fat is really enough. Another oil can be used for greasing, e.g. Use e.g. rapeseed oil, but I really recommend the coconut oil! Sunflower oil isn`t quite as good.
  3. It takes about 4 minutes per waffle on the medium setting, but that differs from device to device!
  4. Cherries, cream, powdered sugar or sugar-cinnamon go well with this.
  5. Short notes: With this recipe, the waffles don`t tear apart, that`s what happened to me with many vegan waffle recipes. The trick is the soy lecithin, which creates a wonderful bond between the ingredients. You can get this in the drugstore with the dietary supplements, because it is actually healthy.
  6. The recipe made 14 heart waffles for me. In total it has about 3500 Kcal, making 14 waffles about 250 Kcal per piece without topping.
