Finely dice ham, eggs and onions and mix with the Philadelphia to a mass, then season. Cut the chives into rolls and add to the mixture. Spread the mixture on the butter cheese slices and then roll them up individually. Wrap the rolls tightly in aluminum foil and refrigerate for a day.
Then cut the cheese rolls into 11 pieces each, creating small snails. Then place these on buttered crackers or pumpernickel slices and serve.
