Instructions

  1. I have a lot of persimmons every year (my neighbor has a beautiful tree that bears abundantly), but they only taste really good when they are very ripe. B. Mix together with other fruits to make a smoothie. I use the persimmon whole, with the skin on, only remove the stem, I also use tomatoes and peppers unpeeled, only remove the stem, seeds and the inner white ribs of the pepper. Mix all fruits together, add enough orange juice to make a thick juice. Put a small dollop of horseradish on top and decorate with mint leaves to taste. Persimmons are very sweet, so I like to combine them with non-sweet things, the horseradish makes the whole thing a real wake-up drink. Since persimmons are quite heavy fruits, the combination given here results in approx. 500 ml and is enough for me for 3 glasses for breakfast. Smoothies are not thirst quenchers, but always equated with a small meal. Tip: Instead of tomatoes, you can also use purchased tomato juice.
