Press the garlic and mix with 4 tablespoons of olive oil.
Rub the neck steaks with the garlic-oil mixture and salt and pepper well on both sides. Cut the onions into rings and layer them alternately with the steaks in a sealable plastic pot or something similar. If there is still oil left, you can now also add the rest to the pot. Let everything steep for at least one night.
Remove the onions from the steaks and grill as usual.
The marinade looks very simple. But sometimes less is more. These steaks taste great and are always well received by our grill guests.
