Instructions
- For the dough, knead all the ingredients and prepare a yeast dough. Then cover the dough in a warm place and let rise for 30 minutes.
- After the rest period, sprinkle the worktop with flour and form eight balls out of the dough.
- For the filling, mash the sheep`s cheese with a fork. Cut the parsley into small pieces. Mix the sheep cheese, parsley and egg.
- For the garlic sausage filling, cut the garlic sausage into slices and grate the cheese.
- Roll out the balls in an oval shape. Cover two doughs with half of the sheep`s cheese filling each. Fold the sides inwards.
- Cover the other doughs with the garlic sausage and sprinkle the cheese on top. Fold the edges inwards again.
- The filled pide are baked in a pizza oven for about five minutes and eaten warm.
- Coat the edges of the finished pide with butter.
- The pide tastes best when it is baked in a stone oven. I bake them in a pizza oven and they taste like a brick oven.
- Ayran goes very well with Pide.
