Put all the finely diced ingredients together with the sugar, vinegar and spices in a large saucepan, bring to the boil briefly and simmer on a low level for a good hour. Possibly. Add a little water in between.
The chutney can then be pureed with the magic wand before it can be poured into the prepared glasses while it is still hot.
The amount makes about five large glasses.
Note: The chutney can be eaten both as a spread and as an accompaniment to meat, pasta, etc.
