Cut the meat into small strips. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
Heat the oil in a saucepan at medium temperature and fry the onion cubes with the curry for 2 minutes. Add water (depending on how much sauce you want later) and meat and mix well. Season with pepper and salt and simmer for 30-40 minutes in a closed saucepan until the meat is soft (may take longer depending on the type of meat used).
Meanwhile, peel the pineapple and mango and cut into bite-sized pieces. Add coconut milk, desiccated coconut, pineapple and mango pieces as well as the raisins to the meat and simmer for about 5 minutes.
The dish is served with rice (I like to use basmati rice).
Tip: It can also be prepared well for larger celebrations. However, it is important that the fresh fruit is only added shortly before serving.
