- Bring the water and sugar to the boil, set aside.
- Peel and finely chop the ginger. Break the cinnamon into large pieces. Put both in the sugar solution and leave covered for about 20 minutes.
- Add tea, pineapple and orange juice, heat, but do not boil. Add the rum and pour the punch through a sieve into preheated glasses.
- Sweeten to taste.
