Take the rolls out of the freezer and preheat the oven to the temperature indicated on the packaging.
Grate the cheese. For the tomato sauce, put the tomato puree in a bowl, layer the basil leaves and roll them up into a kind of cigar. Then cut the leaves into strips. Add the basil strips to the puree and season with salt and pepper.
Now cut the ham and salami into small cubes. Then the baked rolls are cut four times with a sharp knife. It is important that the buns are not cut through.
Now fill every single incision with a little tomato sauce, boiled ham or salami and top with cheese. Place the rolls on a baking sheet. Make sure that there is enough space between the rolls, otherwise they can bake together.
Then bake for 12 to 15 minutes on the middle rack as indicated on the bread roll packaging and serve while still warm.
