First heat a saucepan with the butter. In the meantime, core the plums and then quarter them. Lightly toast the plums with the cinnamon and vanilla. Then added a dash of water. While the compote is simmering, let`s focus on the porridge.
To do this, briefly toast the oat flakes in another saucepan and then add the milk and water. Stir every now and then and bring to the boil briefly. Then turn the stove back to the lowest setting. Put the lid on and let it tighten for approx. 5 minutes. The porridge can be sweetened if desired. But it tastes good because the compote is sweet.
Now it can be served. Put the porridge in a deep plate. Spread the compote on top and garnish with linseed. You can also sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top.
