Peel the potatoes and carrots and cut into thin slices with a cucumber slicer.
Grease the baking dish with the margarine and put the carrots and potatoes in the dish. Season the cream well with vegetable stock (more if possible), herb salt, nutmeg and pepper. Then add the cream and spice mixture to the baking dish, mix everything well and distribute evenly. Finally, distribute the grated cheese evenly over it so that almost everything is covered.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees.
A green salad with a vinegar and oil dressing tastes good with it.
