Cook the potatoes and golden beets in pieces for approx. 30 minutes until soft and mash them with the potato masher. If the golden beet is bought pre-cooked, it usually cannot be mashed well, then simply cut into small pieces. Add salt, pepper and marjoram and mix well. Add enough breadcrumbs to shape the patties well. Then heat a pan with oil and fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
Optionally, you can also work feta cheese in the middle of each patty.
It goes well with a herb and garlic dip and a mixed salad.
