Peel and wash the potatoes. Peel the onions and grate finely with the potatoes.
Mix in the egg and flour and season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Heat the oil and fry golden brown buffers from the potato mixture in portions and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Peel the sausages, cut into thin slices and spread on the buffers. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake the buffers in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes until the cheese has run. Serve garnished with herbs if desired.
You can also take ready-made dough and simply spice it up a little if you want it to be quick.
