Peel the potatoes and grate them finely in the food processor. Let rest for half an hour and squeeze out well. Finely grate the onions and add to the potatoes. Add the eggs, oatmeal, flour and spices to the mixture. Knead well and season to taste.
Heat the oil and clarified butter (not too little) in a pan. Shape the dough into thin buffers and bake until golden brown on both sides.
Serve with fresh homemade applesauce and turnip tops.
