Instructions

  1. The frozen beans are blanched in boiling salted water. Drain carefully and allow to cool. Carefully pick up the beans in bundles of approx. 10 pieces each and wrap this bundle in a slice of smoked bellies. Process the beans this way. Depending on the quality of the beans, a good 30 bundles should come out (it can sometimes be fewer if too much of the beans has broken.) Place the bundles on a baking sheet. If you want to make cleaning up later easier, you can also put a sheet of baking paper underneath. Melt the butter with nutmeg, salt and herbs in a saucepan and drizzle the mixture over the beans with a tablespoon. The whole thing then for about 15 minutes in the preheated oven at a good 180 degrees. If the oven is hotter, 10 minutes is enough. The whole thing is done relatively quickly and is also easy to prepare.
