Wash the potatoes clean and cook in the skin. While the potatoes are cooking, cut the processed cheese wedges into 2 to 5 mm thick slices (everyone can choose which taste they prefer).
Pour off the water. Cut the hot potatoes about 4 to 5 times (depending on the size of the potatoes) as far as possible - but do not cut all the way through. Put in the processed cheese slices and wait a moment for the cheese to melt. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
