Cook the lentils for about 5 minutes, then season with chili and curry powder. Don`t save. Chilli as needed. Cook the lentils until they are slightly overcooked, but depending on your preference you can leave them crispier. After this step, the water used to cook the lentils should be completely soaked up.
Then add the coconut milk and let it boil briefly. Season with salt as needed. Cook the rice on the side.
Instead of rice, you can also use naan bread, for example.
