Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar and water and bring to the boil until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then let it cool down again.
  2. Pluck the currants from the stems and wash them well. Then puree as finely as possible and press through a sieve that does not let the currant seeds through, but is large enough for the finest pulp fibers. If you sift through a little vodka, the puree slides nicely through the sieve.
  3. Now mix the fruit puree with vodka, lemon juice and the sugar water and if necessary homogenize again with the hand blender or a whisk.
  4. Fill the limes into clean bottles. For example, you can also use the vodka bottle that has become available. Then turn them upside down briefly to prevent mold and keep them cool.
  5. The Limes should be kept in the refrigerator for about 1 to 2 weeks if it has not already been consumed. Otherwise it can be frozen in plastic bottles without any problems.
