Instructions

  1. The quantities given are sufficient for a large bowl of salad, e.g., suitable for a barbecue.
  2. Cook the tender wheat in a vegetable bouillon according to the package instructions, drain and let cool if necessary.
  3. For the sauce, mix the yogurt with lemon juice, vinegar and sugar, season with the grainy vegetable stock, pepper and curry. Pour the sauce over the cooled tender wheat and stir well.
  4. Wash the cucumber and apples and cut into fine cubes. Stir in the tender wheat. Wash, dry and finely chop the peppermint. Also undergo.
  5. Now it`s time to taste: Since the tastes are different, I don`t specify any fixed quantities. The salad probably needs more grained vegetable broth and the spiciness definitely needs to be added: I season each with a generous dash of Tabasco and then add freshly ground black pepper. If the salad is still missing something, it can probably handle even more lemon juice.
  6. The salad will be much rounder if it is allowed to stand in the refrigerator for a few hours - but it is not absolutely necessary. If you let it steep, it may need more sauce - then just add more yogurt and add a little more seasoning accordingly.
  7. If you like, you can garnish the salad bowl with cucumber slices and a few peppermint leaves.
