Instructions

  1. Put the crème fraîche, sour cream, yogurt and mayonnaise in a bowl. Add sugar, allspice and pepper and stir everything until smooth. Cut the pickles, apples and onions into small cubes and stir in as well. Cut the matjes (water them beforehand if necessary) into bite-sized pieces and fold in.
  2. Let the herring tip steep for 2 - 4 hours and season again to taste.
  3. Serve with fried or jacket potatoes.
