Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the chicken inside and out.
  2. In a glass or cup, mix the oil with the finely chopped garlic, salt, pepper, herbs and sugar and let it steep for half an hour. Then rub the chicken thoroughly inside and out (with a brush or by hand). Then put the chicken in an open oven dish, an open roasting pan or another ovenproof dish, place in the preheated oven and bake at about 200 degrees (on my gas stove, the setting 3 is sufficient) for about 60 minutes. The cooking time calculates around 50 minutes per kilo of fresh weight of the chicken.
  3. At the end, simply cut the chicken in two or four parts and serve with jacket or boiled potatoes.
  4. The sauce in the oven pan does not need to be bound, poultry juice, olive oil, garlic and herbs complement each other to create a wonderful aroma.
  5. You can also serve a mixed salad or a fine vegetable.
