Instructions

  1. Season the meat with salt, pepper, ginger powder, cinnamon or coriander and wrap it with kitchen twine to keep it in shape.
  2. Cut the apricots into small pieces and mix with the orange juice, orange peel, ginger root, vinegar, salt, jam, wine and soy sauce and place in a large baking dish or drip pan. Add the meat.
  3. Cook in a hot oven at 160 ° C for around 90 minutes. After 1 hour, mix the water with the cornstarch and stir into the sauce. Pour the sauce over the roast. When the cooking time is over, take the roast out of the oven. Cover and let rest for about 10 minutes. Cut into slices and serve with the sauce.
  4. Rice, pasta or croquettes go well with it.
  5. Tips: Put the spices for the sauce (ginger, orange peel) in a tea infuser or a spice ball, as it is not for everyone to bite on ginger.
