Instructions

  1. Cut into the pork neck from above at a distance of approx. 2 cm so that the individual slices are still connected to each other. Make a strong seasoning mix of mustard, ketchup, salt, pepper and paprika and spread it into the spaces that have been created. Then put 1-2 slices of onion and, if you like, garlic in each space. You are welcome to spread the remains of the seasoning mixture on the roast. Then place in the roasting tube (or a closed pan) with 1 cup of water and cook in the oven for about 2 hours at 200 degrees. Finally, let it get crispy for another 30 minutes without the roasting tube or pan lid.
  2. Tastes very good with bread, but also with potatoes with vegetables. Ideal for parties as the roast stays warm for a long time, gets better in the oven and gets better over time.
