- Peel the kohlrabi bulbs thickly, remove all hard parts and cut into slices as thick as a thumb.
- Cut slices into approx. 1 cm thick sticks, halve if necessary.
- Heat the oil (both types) and fry the kohlrabi sticks. Let it take some color.
- Pour in 200 ml of water and stir in 2 teaspoons of grained vegetable stock.
- Let cook for about 5 minutes, until the kohlrabi sticks are cooked enough that they still have a bit of a bite (as they are still being baked).
- Season with grained vegetable stock, salt and freshly ground pepper.
- For the sauce:
- Heat 3-4 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan, stir in the flour and let it sweat a little.
- Then add 200 ml of the cooking stock and 100 ml of cream - so that a sauce is created. Possibly add a little more stock or cream.
- Cut the thin salami slices and the ham slices into small pieces.
- Put the kohlrabi sticks in a flat baking dish, pour the parsley, salami and ham pieces over them and spread the sauce over them.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 220 ° on the middle rack for about 23 minutes until the cheese is browned.
