Wash the potatoes, peel them, grate them and squeeze them out lightly. Peel the spring or spring onions and cut into rolls. Mix the eggs, flour, marjoram, salt and pepper into the potatoes.
Heat the oil in a pan, fry the bacon in it until crispy, remove and keep warm.
Put the potato dough in the pan and squeeze it into a firm cake. Cover and fry for approx. 5 minutes and then fry until golden brown without the lid. Turn and fry the other side until golden brown.
Cover the rösti with the bacon slices and serve sprinkled with chives.
