Instructions

  1. Cut the belly meat into small pieces or slices as you like, put in about half a liter of water and bring to the boil. Add the plate lentils along with the rest of the water and bring to the boil again with the vegetable stock and marjoram. Let it simmer for about half an hour.
  2. Then add the potatoes and chopped carrots and simmer for about another 20 minutes. Add salt if necessary.
  3. If you like, sausages or wieners can be added shortly before the end of the cooking time.
