Instructions

  1. Dice the bread, pour warm milk over it and let it steep for 15 minutes.
  2. Finely dice the bacon and onion, chop the parsley. Dip the bacon in a little oil until crispy and fry the onion briefly. Whisk the eggs and knead into the bread mixture with the bacon and onion mixture and parsley. Season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  3. Shape 8 dumplings, place in boiling salted water and leave to stand for 20 minutes over low heat.
