Instructions

  1. Wash the grapes and let them drain well, if necessary dry them with kitchen paper. Skewer two clouds on each toothpick.
  2. Line a baking sheet with baking paper as a shelf for the chocolate-coated fruits. Melt the chocolates separately from each other in a cup, use the narrowest cups possible so that the chocolate stands fairly high. Melt either in a microwave oven or in a water bath. It is best to process one type of chocolate after the other.
  3. Be careful in the microwave! Stir often and keep an eye on it, preferably on a low setting so that it doesn`t burn.
  4. Dip the sticks into the cup so that the grapes sink into the chocolate, hold the cup at an angle if necessary and turn the stick. Then place on the sheet. As long as the chocolate is still soft, put the sprinkles, ornaments, pearls or other decorations on or sprinkle over them. Or sprinkle another type of chocolate on top.
  5. When the chocolate is firm, place on a platter, cake stand or plate.
  6. You could also use other fruits, but I always use grapes, because even if you make them the day before, they are still tip-top without drawing water or softening them. Still crisp and great a day later.
