For the satay skewers, cut the meat into 2 cm pieces. Put the wooden skewers in water.
For the marinade, mix 1 tablespoon of oil, 1 teaspoon of curry powder, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, salt and pepper. Marinate the meat in it for at least 10 minutes. Put on the wooden skewers. Fry with a little oil on both sides in a pan, grill pan or on the grill.
For the peanut sauce, peel and finely dice half an onion, garlic and ginger. Sweat with chopped chili peppers and 1 teaspoon curry powder in a little oil. Add the peanut butter, brown sugar, salt, pepper, soy sauce and coconut milk and bring to the boil. Possibly add a little water if it is too thick and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
Serve the skewers with the peanut sauce and, as usual in Singapore, serve with boiled rice, cucumber pieces and raw onions.
