Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat
Separate the eggs, beat the egg whites with a squeeze of lemon juice until stiff.
In a second bowl, mix the remaining ingredients, with the exception of the cherries and bananas, to a slightly firmer, creamy mixture. Then carefully fold in the egg white.
Pour half of the batter into a baking dish, spread the cherries and the sliced banana on top and pour the rest of the mixture over the fruit.
Bake in the oven for 30 - 35 minutes until golden brown. Let the casserole cool down a little and enjoy lukewarm.
We eat it at home as a sweet breakfast. It is also very good as a warm dessert
