Squeeze the sauerkraut well, distribute it over the 8 slices of ham and roll it up to form 8 rolls. Place the ham rolls in a buttered gratin dish.
Mix the cream, ketchup, tomato puree, paprika powder, chives, garlic, strong salt and pepper together very well. Then pour the sauce over the ham rolls and sprinkle with the cheese.
Baked on the second from the bottom in the hot oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
