Peel and dice the onion and garlic. Cut the sauerkraut into small pieces.
Heat the lard in a saucepan and fry the onion / garlic cubes in it. Add the sauerkraut and spices. Pour the broth over the top. Simmer for about 30 minutes over medium heat.
Peel the potatoes, grate them finely and add about 15 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
Now peel off the skin of the meat sausage, cut into cubes and add to the soup. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika powder and mustard. Add the cream. Sprinkle with the parsley and serve immediately.
Fresh bread tastes good with it.
