First fry the sausages in a dry pan until they are brown and set aside.
In the remaining frying fat from the sausages, sauté the onion until translucent, then add the sauerkraut, bay leaves, paprika and tomato paste and stir. Let simmer slowly until the desired consistency is reached.
Return the sausages to heat. Season to taste and, if necessary, add seasoning - I shouldn`t miss a splash of Maggi wort.
Bread dumplings, but also mashed potatoes or simply boiled potatoes, go well with this.
